Boylan Farms began as a small greenhouse operation selling roses from our 5 acre farm just North of De Witt in 1999. When we moved to our current location just East of De Witt, we expanded to 6 acres and began selling wholesale. In 2003, we opened our doors to provide high quality dog boarding services to De Witt and the greater Quad City areas. Our goal was to create a place that is very comfortable for our guests and also convenient for our customers. We have gained a reputation as a caring, loving environment that caters to all dogs - big and small. We have kept our facility small (just 25 runs) so that we can maintain the individualized care that makes dogs look forward to their stays with us.
The owners, Bob and Lori, have an active micro-farm and do more than dog boarding. The plant side of our business has gone from wholesale to online. We are currently gearing up to launch our plant site that will sell roses, berries and grape vines. We have also been breeding AKC long haired miniature dachshunds since 2001 and we are proud to say that we have placed our dogs all over the United States. Our philosophy is education first, so we take our time in the puppy adoption process to make sure our puppies go only to loving homes where they become part of the family.
Beginning in the summer of 2010, the manager of our boarding facility is Cheryl Hageman. Bob and Lori are confident that Cheryl will make sure our guests will continue to have a great experience at Boylan Farms. She keeps consistent with our view of personal attention to each and every dog. Lori will continue maintain contact with all of our customers by phone and e-mail. The next time you are here, please help us welcome Cheryl to the Boylan Farms family.
